CONTENTS AND AIMS OF THE SEMINAR :

The purpose of this event is the dissemination of a wider knowledge on instruments and practices currently applying to “Cross border inheritance law” cases. To this aim, experts in the subject matter will handle highly focused presentations, in addition, workshops on practical cases will be organised to favor the debate among the audience and to open a wider dialogue on the proposed issues.

 

Moreover, to favor the exchange of best practice and information, five preselected participants will be kindly invited to present one standard practical problem or a legal specialty in their country (5-10 minutes length).

 

Each participant/expert is responsible for providing his/her own reservations (transport and accommodation). You may see in the attached form that the Academy  has already booked the rooms for all the participants. So it is not necessary for the participants to confirm their booking. Participants who will not need accommodation, are  kindly requested to inform the Academy accordingly.

LOGISTICS:

-         Date and Venue: 17-18 February 2014 – at the Academy of Justice, Recklinghausen - Germany

-         Accommodation: Please find in the attached “promoter form”  all details for contact and information. 

-         Meals: the lunches on February 17th  and 18th 2014 will be organised  at the Academy and its cost will be of 8,40 € each (that price will include also the coffee breaks). The lunches’ cost will be deducted by the daily allowance of each participant/expert. With reference to the evening on February 17th, a festive dinner will be proposed to interested participants. More information will follow.

-    Working languages: English and French, with simultaneous interpretation.  

 

REIMBURSEMENT PROCEDURE:

Each participant and expert will be reimbursed for the expenses supported, namely:

-          The reimbursement of the transportation costs, up to a maximum of 400€. Since the seminar will be closed on February 18th at 13h30, participants are asked to book their return flights in the same day of the closing of the event. In case the departure the same day will not be possible (no flights available or overnight) it will be kindly requested to the participants/experts to contact Ms. Benedetta Vermiglio and send her the “flight search” by one of the following websites: www.edreams.com, www.expedia.com , etc

-          A daily allowance of 156€  in order to cover participants’ and experts’ expenses for accommodation, internal transport (bus, taxi, metro etc) and meals.

For the participants/experts residing in the country where the meeting is to take place (Germany): EJTN will secure the full reimbursement of travel and daily expenses (up to the aggregated value of the applicable per diem) incurred in connection with the activity, on the basis of their actual costs and upon presentation of dully substantiated receipts, invoices and/or other documentary proof of the expenses incurred.

As for the reimbursement of the travel by private car, the following financial rules will apply: cost of 0,22 EUR per kilometre for a round trip up to a maximum of 1.200 km calculated on the basis of the shortest route (itinerary mapping in support – Michelin/Google Internet Maps), using the following formula: Kilometre claim km x 2 (in-out) x 0,22 € / km =      Participants/experts who choose to use their own car remain fully liable for any accidents to their car or third parties.

 

Procedure to be followed:

1) Before January 24th 2014, each participant/expert will be kindly requested to fill-in the attached “registration form” 

2) After the seminar, each participant/expert will be kindly requested to send to EJTN the following  original travel documents:

a)      booking

b)      tickets

c)      the boarding passes

 

These documents shall be sent – in original – by post to : Ms. Benedetta Vermiglio, EJTN, Rue du Luxembourg 16/B, B-1000 Brussels.

For the travel by private car, it shall be requested to send, by email, the itinerary mapping in support – Michelin/Google Internet Maps.

     The reimbursement will include the payment of the transportation costs (as specified) and the daily allowance.

Interested participants, please fill in the Application Form and upload it in your account on ja-sr.sk portal. 

 

IMPORTANT: All those who had participated on the event are obliged to upload REPORT from this event within 30 days after their return and no later than 31 December 2014. The report may be written in Slovak or English language.
